So we decided to follow our heart and move from a big city to a small village to be able to do what we love and to create this content. We offer the detailed information of our hikes and routes, including the map and all the directions, so that you can repeat it if you'd like to.
We choose walking over driving and other types of transportation whenever we can because we learnt that this way we see so much more and can explore and feel the place better. This sleeping bag is quite good for the summer. Weight and size are a plus. Interesting idea with the two zippers. I wish more UA-camrs promoted synthetic summer sleeping bags. They cost little, are good in weight and volume. Many people who enter the world of hiking immediately buy a 3-season sleeping bag. They will only go there in the summer and they will have to carry a 1.5 kg sleeping bag which will take up a half-backpack and which will be too warm anyway. You mention stinking down. A lot depends on the manufacturer and quality. What quality down did he buy and how did he clean it before production.

    I have used it recently in Malaysia tropical forest higher than 15 degrees Celsius, however I was still freezing cold and need the use of an emergency blanket 😮 Apart of the above, this is a compact and comfortable sleeping bag easy to carry for hiking.

    3:15 - you do it wrong (there is precise instruction shown 10s earlier in the movie): dont stick your mouth to the inflation bag but keep them ca. 20 cm away and blow inside oneor two times (phisic done the rest) then rapidly close the inlet. At the end push traped air into the mat.

    i happened to have this setup and i can confirm it works well. the tent is so good and so cheap. it takes some space but that is it. the sleeping matress tend to loose air sometimes but ok its still working. the sleeping bag is little but tends to be cold so make sure you don't use it in the alps or stuff like that, even in summer... i think this is the killer startink kit, just buy it all, save so much money, don't worry whats gone break or not and buy better stuff if you think it is not enough or if you want to upgrade...

    • @WalkingNatureWorld
      @WalkingNatureWorld 6 днів тому

      Amazing to hear that you have the same kit shown in the video and share your experience with it, it is much appreciated! Agree about the sleeping bag suitable only for warm summer weather, the comfort temperature should be the main indicator. You sum it up very well, saying that it's a great starter kit with which you won't break the bank and won't worry about things breaking. Although we usually didn't have any bad quality issues with Decathlon stuff. It gets ruined only with time but overall holds up pretty well.

    I have the 1 person version for bike-packing and love it for all the reasons you show in your video. It’s light, warm, airy, waterproof ( in rainy UK) and keeps my bike bags, shoes and helmet dry in the single vestibule. I use the footprint which only adds 250g for the 1 person tent. 1.4kg with footprint. I can also cook in the vestibule when it’s pouring with rain. This makes it a luxury compared to the bivvy bags or some lighter 1 person tents used by friends. I agree that the 2 person version is cramped for 2 and am looking at the 3 person version for me and my husband. I have heard a lot of complaints re getting spares and repairs for MSR outside of the US and the Decathlon guarantee is 5 years compared to 3 years for MSR. I’m very impressed with the well thought out features of my Forclaz 1 person tent 😊 I’m leaning towards the Forclaz 3 person dome over the MSR Mutha Hubba for value and durability.

    • @WalkingNatureWorld
      @WalkingNatureWorld 6 днів тому

      Awesome to hear about your experience with this tent, thanks for sharing! It is a very decent tent for its category, we were also quite impressed by it. What is your opinion about footprint in the vestibules? It was one of our concerns. On one side it can useful and on the other you may not want to have it in some situations. The limited space was another disadvantages for us, 3 person version would be nice but for hiking it adds up quite a bit of weight then. For bike trips it may be an option. Hubba Hubba is still on our list to try but because of it being pricey we weren't able to invest in it yet.

      That's hard to say, as you ideally need to try it on in the store to see if it fits, it depends on your height a lot. Overall there is a reason why they make it men and women fit, it proved to be more comfortable if you follow it in our experience. Dima carried a women's fit pack for some time at first as we weren't aware that such thing existed as different gender's fit but it actually made a huge difference in the end. Hope it helps.

      It is our pleasure! This is one of the great features of the shelter, and we used everything that it had in the kit, at first we weren't sure what they were meant for:) Let us know if you have any other specific questions

    Why Nano 2? Compare Mini vs. Nano, they are in same cathegory.

    • @WalkingNatureWorld

      Maybe they came out with the new models, we are not aware of it. Nano 2 was a warmer version for us of Mini, that's why we bought it

    I like it, but it might be tipable with any heavy food on top. I have a Coleman stand cooker and find I have to be careful of it tipping as well. I know what you mean about lighting it as the propane burns so clear that you might not know it's lit. I have flat propane/butane stove that I would use for larger cooking pots. I do like that it holds all parts inside.

    Good review. A friend uses a different model that works well. I was interested in the regulation system. Unfortunately, the manufacturer describes it very vaguely. It is not fully described how it is supposed to help in winter conditions. You could show the flame adjustment range, which is very good. The review lacked information/presentation that it was properly assembled. We are able to put a 230g canister inside. This is quite important. In smaller models it is mentioned that 230g can be accommodated. Unfortunately, it's only about diameters and we are unable to close the lid. Decent stove, especially for two people. If someone is looking for an even more budget-friendly all in one cooker. I recommend the Planet X 900 Outdoor Cooking System from the Planet X cycling website in the UK. Product previously sold as Jobworth x2 of ypu be looking more information. I have had this cooker for 2 years. It's not a premium product but it gets the job done. The cost of £30 is definitely a huge advantage. The flame adjustment is decent and you can cook normally on it. Unfortunately, it is too small to store a 230g canister. The diameter of the canister fits perfectly, but it sticks out by about 8mm. This can be fixed a bit with the included cooking ring. Which fits perfectly and can lock on it and ensure noiseless during transportation. There is also a larger model similar to this one Or maybe you would be tempted to make a comparison if you live in the UK?

    Sir and mam I am confused between mt100 pants and mh500 which one is better (men)

    • @WalkingNatureWorld
      @WalkingNatureWorld 8 днів тому

      They are both great pants and it is better to try them out in store if you can to see what works for you. But we have tested the MT100 pants on many hikes and did a lot of trips in them with no problems at all, they are comfortable and light. The MH500 line has more strechy fabric and has more features liek pockets etc. but we personally prefer a more basic model.
